Walk
into a business and one of the most lasting impressions you will receive
will be that of the people working in the business. Without question,
they can make or break a business.
If the business provides lousy service you will blame the manager
or owner. But, if you receive great service will you credit that same
manager or owner as having put together the team? For just as no manager
could ever hire a staff in which everyone is lousy, they do not always
hire individuals that are excellent. What happens is that the manager
or owner is able to create the team - good or bad.
Perhaps not surprising, is that how you develop your team will determine
if you will be getting ordinary results from ordinary people - like
most businesses. Or if you will be getting extraordinary results from
ordinary people!

To
the person who will introduce me:
Today, you and I are a team. The better job YOU do, the better job
I will be able to do for your event. You have the opportunity to set
the stage and tell the audience what to expect from me. I want them
to enjoy themselves as well as receive information to help them increase
their business.
Please:
1. Practice this several times.
2. Avoid saying things like, "I am reading it just like he wrote
it."
3. Don't add anything without discussing it with me first.
4. Show the level of excitement in your introduction that you hope
the audience will have for the presentation.
Finally
... THANK YOU for your help. Your role will help make this a presentation
the audience will long appreciate.
