This month contains Independent Retailer's Week, celebrating all of the hundreds of thousands of small businesses in Canada and the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for you to get the local media and other area businesses involved. One way is to let the local radio or television know and invite them to highlight a business of the hour. The question of the month is to ask, "What are the dates of Independent Retailer's Week for 2002?" Answer the question and you will receive your choice of our two new books: 100 More Profits+Plus Ideas for Power Promoting or 100 New Profits+Plus Ideas for Power Managing. Be sure to include your mailing address. Our winner from last month is Hythe Mann from Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Hythe won a package from Debbie Allen worth $150. And,
a special edition contest from Profits+Plus. The second reason we are looking for photos is that we are working on a new product that we hope to release this winter. It will be a screen saver for use at your home or business. As we figure you are probably tired of "Flying Toasters" and other varieties of screen savers, we are creating one that is specific for a small business. The photos we are looking for will be a part of the background. This contest will be ongoing for several months, and each month we will award two prizes. The prize for this contest will be a complete set of tools from Tom Shay - over $113 worth of tools for your business. Your
